It sounds like I need to check with my local O'Reilly Auto Parts to see if they will take used oil filters. If they will, I would much rather see it recycled instead of in the landfill.
What do you do with your used oil filters?

O'Reilly's does accept filters. That's where I usually go to recycle oil and filter.
I poke a hole in them, let them drain overnight, and pitch them. The oil goes to AAP.
Let them drain for about a week and throw them in the trash. Oil goes to Autozone. They don't accept filters. County will take them but 15 miles one way. Not happening.
Drain them well and bin them.
