Best and worst Halloween candy

Where in the world did you find those, I havent seen them in 50 years.
I remeber the foot long ones in a different wrapper back in the late 70's.

Old Time Candy. I was really looking for paraffin wax bottles - and lips.

Are Rockets just Smarties rip offs?

They are like mini sweet-tarts. Made with Dextrose, Citric Acid, Calcium Stearate, Natural and Artificial Flavour, Colour (Allura Red, Tartrazine, Sunset Yellow FCF, Indigotine)
After 5 or so my tongue can't handle the citric acid anymore...
These are my favorite halloween candy and today they will be like $2-3lb on sale in a 2lb bag... I did buy a 2lb bag once about 15 years ago, ate them all in 3 days and it probably took years off my life...
Smarties in Canada are like M&M's, candy coated chocolate with just different colors and made by nestle, so I guess that's why your Smarties become Rockets here.

Favorites - in no particular order:
  • Candy/gum cigarettes
  • Pixie Stix
  • Bit-O-Honey
  • All the Jolly Rancher Stixs
  • Double Bubble and Bazooka gum
  • Vintage version of Smarties. I think they were called Fizzies.
  • Sweetarts
I wasn't much into chocolate back then. I grew into having a serious sweet tooth in the past 20 years. I still cannot stand Candy Corn.

My wife bought a few huge bags of candy to hand out last night. These were in one of the bags. I never had them until this morning. I've always liked jelly candies, especially the ones from Japan.

I just remember them when parodied by Wacky Packages.

Best - full sized Snickers, Clark, Heath or Butterfinger

Worst - circus peanuts, or any tamarind based " candy" .

The spicy tamarind candy IMO isn't candy. I kinda like it though, i just consider it fruit leather
