I was watching a WWII documentary in which these machines were featured and I'd like to see one up close, maybe even get inside. Any suggestions?

If you are warbird fan, and I assume you are, a day spent wandering around the many airports generally off 101 should be on your to-do list; Paso Robles has a great museum, King City, Hollister, Salinas, San Martin, Frazier Lakes and especially Hollister have warbird and/or antique aircraft activity.....
