Umbrella Policy?

We're between homes (sold the old one earlier than anticipated) and can't even get an umbrella until we close on the new house.

I checked on Umbrella policy and I would have to raise all the cars to a million, the motorcycles and then the house. Also a problem is my daughter lives at home yet, but has her own truck and own insurance but I was told she needed to raise her liability to a million too which I have no power to make her do that. I thought I will revisit it when she leaves home in June.

I left an insurance company that did not understand the concept of "excluded driver". Plus they tried to do an 150% increase on me with no accidents/tickets/... blaming it on 10% increase in taxes in IL.
