Thanks for the link and it was interesting reading but I need some actual SAE test specs instead of some dude in his garage with a vacume cleaner and homemade gauges...thanks anyways

The NAPA Gold filter is made by Wix. Not sure about the silver. I hope to inspect one this week and compare it to OEM. Looks to be the best of the US made paper filter. Fram also looks
good but varies from model to model.

OK the Napa Gold is identical to my Japanese made OEM in my Miata. The OEM from the dealers has less pleats therefore less filter area. This looks to be a very good filter for the miata for sure. Not sure if that would translate to all cars but should. Oh and it has almost the same part number as the Wix. Napa Gold was FIL2486 Wix was 42486.

cool thanks, guess imma check that out too...i want to see what is better, stp air filter or napa gold...both has very differnt prices though..im trying to stay away from fram
