Do your pets eat people food?

Ours get left overs from what we eat. They love breakfast for dinner nights as they get bacon.
They also love veggies and especially raw potatoes.

As a general rule, no, we don't give our dog scraps for a variety of reasons. The primary reason of course being health. Just like we promulgate the idea that gas or engine additives aren't necessary as long as you are using proper fluids, I don't think that anything we eat will provide any benefits to our dog that her dog food won't provide. After that, some secondary reasons would be that it would promote bad behavior, such as begging at the table or actively seeking out scraps when we aren't looking. As of now, we have no issues leaving food out with her around. She does her thing while we do ours. Of course, my wife wants her to feel included so we generally feed her a second meal (we split her serving in half in order to spread her food out throughout the day) as we sit down to eat ours.

Even the "people" food that most western nations eat....is not exactly real "food." Certainly, not good for pets either.

We have shifted our cows and steers from natural grass and vegetation to grains/chemicals/hormones. Not good for them either.

Dogs eat poop so anything would be fine. The daughters horses get premium hay and all sorts of other supplements and the cats get kibble which is junk food for animals and what ever they can catch. Cows get grass from the field and them some Alfalfa and rice straw to make them taste better.

just like us humans...Only thing is the chicken and lamb are raw, not cooked.

Raw eggs...although I'm the only human here who does that.

Salem has doubled his weight in 32 days.
Excellent diet for the cats and dogs.

Very little people food finds it's way into our fur kids.
Wellness Core is their primary diet.
Occasionally, bits of meat while cooking will find it's way to the floor where the clean up crew is on duty.
The Yorkie likes pork.
The GoldenDoodle, well, she's just into everything. What a wacky, but really lovable bundle of energy. Like a plush toy from the toy section, but alive.
What I'm sorry for is people that eat pet food.

Why did you change then?

Our pup only gets quality kibble and occasional human food as a treat, and that's usually just a small piece of apple or cheese.

CAT Food:

No Science death garbage or IAM's Garbage.

Most pet foods are loaded with garbage grains and are the leading cause for excessively high rate of Diabetes in cats.

Moving UP thru the years fed proplan, then **** van patten's Natural Balance, then wellness, then royal canin vet diet, then Blue grain free with some Gourmet pate only.
Kibbles have high calorice density don't over feed cats kibbles.

It seems before Frakenstein genetic mods on foodstuff we and the animals did much better.

Supplemented our dachshund's dogfood with scraps from whatever we ate. He was in perfect shape for 17 years.

Chickens get most of our table scraps, but the dogs gets the bones or questionable meat found at the back of the fridge... Cats just get kibble and whatever they can catch outside.
