Gonna miss him. He had great posts about the muscle cars his dad owned, his adopted Cajun background, his lady friends, his collections, the stuff he did with his cousins. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

What awful news. I had a nice PM exchange with him on stuff that wasn't main board material (political), and he seemed genuinely concerned about some of the stuff going on up here. Always loved his cooking posts and he would always go out of his way to help others. He'll be sorely missed.

He was a good guy, I did not know him personally here but enjoyed reading his Louisiana Cajun related posts. I know he was a member for a very long time. He is in a much better place now. RIP and Thank You for your service, sir.

I am very sad to hear about BlueOvalFitter's passing. He made me laugh and it was heart warming to know good people like him existed out there in a troubled world. He donated his time to help those who couldn't afford basic maintenance. He will be greatly missed!

Yes indeed! He & I became good friends on this forum and I had sent him some SAK's for his collection and he sent me a nice thank you gift. I will remember him well.
We spoke over the phone on several occasions which made quite a connection & bond.

My heart is empty today.

We shared many BITOG PMs. Mostly about our service in the Gulf War, cars, Swiss Army Knives, firearms and history. Spoke on the phone as well on those topics.

There was a rare SAK he wanted, and I was going to get it for him in my next trip to Switzerland. I wish I had been able to fulfill that promise.
