Chinese Purolators?

Ordered a Purolator filter for my Subaru from Advance, since they don't stock it. Made in China. The Denso I removed was made in USA.
I'm so confused.

It seems that most of the parts I buy at Advance are made in china.

Just bought a 165 dollar wheel bearing from advance, made in china of course.

If a company can save a few pennies by having a product made somewhere other than here, they will do so. Sometimes they are ok but sometimes they make you wanna

Toyota switched from Japan to Taiwan, so I switched to Ryco.
Ryco (the Oz Brand) switched to Chinese manufacture, so I switched to Purolator (U.S).
Purolator go to china ?

Change to a USA made one.....(kinda lame, but I thought I would weight in)

I recently purchased two Microgard (O'Reilly house brand) air filters. It says on the box that they are made by Purolator. The filter for my 2000 Tundra V-8 says it's made in Israel and it looks exactly like the Toyota OEM filter in construction. The filter for my 2003 G35 says it's made in China. It is constructed like the original (OEM) Nissan filters for this car that had a metal box enclosure for rigid support instead of the floppy Nissan (and other aftermarket) filters offered today. I have to say that I was happy to find these well constructed filters at half the price of OEM filters.
