I really wanted to try this filter on Amazon for about 2.50 with ship. But for some reason for all 3 of my vehicles when I look the filter number up they are 6 to 8 bucks. 2005 Dakota v8. 1999 Accord 4cyl. And 2000 Camry V6. Super common filters. ST16. ST9688. And ST 3614 for Walmart comparison which also carries over to Fram numbers. Any thoughts?

That is just typical Amazon dynamic pricing. There is no guarantee it will stay that price or extend to other SKU's.

Yeah just try RA for Carquest "Famous Brand" closeouts. Typically you'll have to add enough that shipping divides out per filter to make it worth it.

Also look for Ecogards both on Amazon and RA. Generally a well-regarded filter and can be extremely inexpensive.

I went on the Purolator website and put in our vehicles and got the part numbers that way. Then I added the corresponding Purolator tech filter to my Amazon save for later so I could check the price. It dropped to $2.50 at a different time than the one listed here. I just monitored the price, and it dropped a few times.

Yeah. I looked again today and the one for my Camry was about $2.50 I scratched my head and bought it. Should be here Thursday! I like the Supertechs at my local Walmart. About $4.
So I thought I'd give these a try. Look good. 96% at 20 if the stats are correct. What's not to like? Any better sub $3 filters including shipping?
