Anyone doing 6mo/7500k miles on Dodge Caravan?

Just bought a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L for the wife. Oil cap/manual states 5w-20 oil. Severe is 3 months / 3000. Normal is 6 months / 7500 miles. Anyone here doing the full 6 months / 7500 mile OCI for their van?

My wife drives 99% highway to work and back, so she's easy on the oil.

Dad does the same driving. We do 7.5-10k drains on 10w30 Dino and the cheapest filters avaliable. Works fine on a 92 Previa w/2.2L 4-cyl and a 6qt sump.

Mike, I'm just curious of what the color would be on the oil in your Dad's Previa after he drained it out at 7500 miles - light brown, medium brown, maple syrup, or black?

I'm running M1 in my wife's 2000 GC 3.3 on a ~10 month OCI, about 7500-8500 miles. Works just fine.

I never pay much attention to oil color on that car, as I don't even check the oil on it. There's really no need to as that van has a "reservoir" tank that will keep the oil level no more than 1 qt low at all times.

Two oil changes ago, I remember that the 9000 mi run of Quaker State 10w30 was dark brown or black, which didn't surprise nor disturb me. The van just got an oil change by the quick lube last Monday since it was free, so I couldn't tell you what the 6000 mi old Clean 5000/QS 10w30 looked like.

It's currently running bulk Pennzoil 10w30 SM/GF-4 with an OE Toyota filter, so if I'm the one who changes that out in 7500 or so miles, I'll try to remember to let you know.

I am doing a 6 month interval on my Wife's van (2005 GC 3.8) which is about 6000 miles. I am about 4 months into it right now with 1 qt Pennzoil Platnum 5w-20, Mobil 1 0w-20 (SL), and 3 qts of Mobil 5000 5w-20.
After this, I will be using 4 qts Penzoil 5w-20 (thanks to Home Depots clearance) and about 2 qts of Pennzoil Platinum 5w-20 (I am using the oversized Wix and Pure One filters, so it is about .75 qts more than normal).

I also have an 05 GC, I've been doing the 3 month/3,000 mile OCI with cheap chevron 5w-20, however I will probably consider going to 6 month/7,500 intervals with mobil 1 soon.
