    New FJ Cruiser

About a month ago I got a 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser. It came with the well reviewed 0w-20 oil. Toyota says 10,000 to the first oil change. I think the oil probably has a robust enough add-pack but I wonder if it is such a good idea for the first oil change. I have always done oil changes early for...

    Running 0w30 instead of 5w20

I have the same engine in my truck. It is my understanding that running a heavier oil than 5w-20 will effect the operation of the MDS. How I do not know but I have read this quite a few times. If you are still in warranty I would be very careful. Personally, I am sticking with the 5-20. Good...

    Nissan xterra

I just purchased a new (2007) xterra with a six speed manual. Looking through the the owners manual they spec a nissan atf for the transfer case and a nissan manual GL-4 trans lube. Are there alternatives or should I stick with mfg products? Thanks

    Rotella 5W40 vs. Schaeffer's 5W40 and 15W40

I just checked my credit card online. A case of six gallons of the 9000 was 89.68 on my door step. So the shipping worked out to be about a buck a gallon. 14.95 per gallon with the shipping. A good price in my book. Dave

    Schaeffers 9000 5-40

I might add that this oil is very hard to come by. I called Mark (salesrep) on Saturday and tripped over the box on Tuesday. Honestly, I cannot think of a better oil to run and it is priced very well. I have been runnning this oil for only a few days. I had been breaking my Cummins in on Delo...

    Brew suggestion.

I have been intrigued by the Amsoil 10-30/30 wt. It has no viscosity improvers. I really like the new Del 400 15-40 also. So, how about one gallon of the amsoil mixed with 2 gallons in my Dodge Cummins 600 HO. Thanks, Dave

    Duramax & Delo

Why? Do we know if Delo Syn has the same addditive package? I do not see how you could get a better analysis!

To all of the light pickup owners. Why did u choose your PSD, Cummins, or Duramax?

I had a 99 PSD. A decent truck with a few problems. When I went to buy another truck a few months ago I thought it would be another Ford. But a litle research revealed problems with the 6.0. The dealership where I do business sells both Ford and Dodge. Service and sales staff all warned me away...

    ATF+3 vs. Atf+4?

ATF+4 is pretty much a dealer item. From what I understand there is difference and it may not be a good idea to try to substitute ATF+3. Call around to your local Chrysler,Dodge and jeep, dealers for the best price.
