I just bought a new Toyota Tundra with the 5.7L engiine. Toyota specs 5-20 or 0-20. Thinking of running the motorcraft 5-20. Opinions? Also is the non syn part of this oil a group II+?

Thanks

Are you considering the semi-synthetic Motorcraft 5W-20? It gets good reviews here. I have no idea what the group is of either the base oil or the synthetic part.

I've been using the Amsoil 0W-20 in my 2007 5.7L and it's given me good UOA's. I've given serious thought of switching to the Motorcraft semi-synthetic when I run out of Amsoil 0W-20.

The oil is likely average group II mixed with a little average group III to achieve performance equivalent to an average group II+.

Group II, II+ and III are only seperated in definition by viscosity index.
