Look at the messages that they have been raised with (from an Oz perspective)
* You are on your own (from the generation strutting around with "busy spending kid's inheritance" stickers)
* You get nothing
* You buy your own education (from the generation that got it free)
* You buy your own health care (from the generation that got it free)
* You buy your own retirement (from the generation of defined benefit retirement).
* Your employer owes you no loyalty (from the jobs for life generation)
* Expect to have 15-20 jobs in your career.
* BTW, you are on your own.
Then when they behave in response to that, looking for the next gig, looking for the next promotion, they get [censored].
