How often do you change oil in your lawn equipment?

change the oil in my lawnmower (snapper) once a year (right as the cutting season is beginning).

I have never added nor changed the mower oil in my current mower. it's a tecumsah or how ever you spell it. My cars and trucks im anal about the oil but in a mower i could care less. mower has lasted 5 years now starts up super easy still.

Well Starbreaker, how long you plan on keepin' that Tecumseh? 5 years is long enough to prove they'll put up with a little neglect. But now I'd change it ... and maybe again in another 5 years.

i have used everything from the 15-40 fleet type oils, straight 30wt hd's, and the type 3 synthetics as well as mobil 1 ss in my lawn equipment. i used to change them several times a season as they see quite a bit of use. recently went to amsoil atm 10-30. i plan on changing at the end of each cutting season right before winter storage. buy it localy for 5.85 a qt. penzdude
