Hey guys, looking for some feedback, preferably from owners of the redesigned 2019 and 2020 Jetta models.
We test drove the S and SE trims and like the SE trim best.
I understand it is cheapened out in some regards, like having torsion beam suspension in the rear, but overall I like how it drives on rough roads and it is a nice highway commuter. The 1.4L engine has lots of low end TQ and feels fine to me.
I also read about the 8spd transmission grinding noises and on the S model we tested I heard it during slow acceleration, however reading up on it, I have yet to find any actual failures. So it seems that it may only be the nature of this transmission and its programming.
