Best oil filter wrench or sockets?

What were you using to break it?

Just had an oil filter socket that gripped better and a standard 3/8" ratchet.

I had a stubborn oil filter back in 1984 and bought a chain wrench from NAPA to deal with it.

I’m amazed no one mentioned the in line pill bottle filter housing?? you could see on top of engine when he started to use the Talon.

Get this Lisle 63250 jaw wrench in the correct size (wide range) for your filter. I guarantee that it will remove ANY stuck on filter that is not physically welded to the housing.
