I've looked online, cannot find it. I want to determine which has better cold flow properties, Mobil-1 0W-40 or Mobil-1 5W-30 High Mileage...I can find the 40W but not the 30W MRV. Yes, I have put the question into Mobil, just haven't heard back from them yet.

The 0w's range as follows per Mobil:

0/20- 9200 at -40....0/30 - 13,250 at -40....and 0w/40 21,600. Note that one web page I opened tested the 0w-40 at 31,000.

M1 Super High Mileage 5w/30 came in at 26,400 at -35C.
MSS 5w/30 at 20,500 at -35C.

I'd expect the 5w/30 HM MRV to be similar to their regular M1 5W/30 (in the low to mid-20,000's at -35C).

You then have to make a conversion from -35c to -40c to "compare" to any of the 0W grades.

Which version are you looking for because there's still SL floating around even though it's mostly SN at high volume stores

You'd think they'd put the MRV on there, but, No, they don't. It's weird, they must have the spec so why not include it for people to see?

What's this conversion you speak of?

I didn't even realize there were different versions. I already have the 5W-30HM but was thinking maybe I should just run a 0W-40 instead, but wanted to know for my temp range (-5F to say +30F) which actually flows better. The 5W-30HM I have is SN.
