I dropped the factory fill in the transmission the other week. Car shifted fine when new, but started getting notchy upshifting to 2nd, and VERY notchy/bad feeling going into 3rd. It shifted like crap, except when cold. No issues when cold.
I re-filled with MOTUL GEAR 300 75W-90, and shifting is WAY better, though it took some time for the fluid to "break in"?. 3rd can still be a bit touchy when transmission is hot. Can't get into first easily when cold, but that doesn't bother me. My takeaway, if you have one of these cars, don't wait this long to drop the factory fluid. What came out had no viscosity, was dark and cannot see through it, and full of suspended wear metal. Magnet was full too, but that's to be expected.
I think I will try Redline 75W-90NS next time, but I will see what happens during summer heat and road trips on the MOTUL.
Edit: Add transmission to title
