Substitute Motul Gear 300 75W-90 for BMW G1 75W85?

I want to change the e-transmission oil in my 2017 BMW i3 Rex. It's a single-speed transmission/differential combo. The factory oil is BMW G1 Hypoid oil 75W-85, part # 83222295532. This is apparently a GL-4 oil.

The BMW fluid is insanely expensive and I have an extra liter of Motul Gear 300 75W-90 in my garage that I'd love to be able to use. This is listed as a fully synthetic hypoid GL-4/GL-5 compatible oil, so I don't get why it's not listed as an oil for my car, other than its 75W-90 and not 75W-85. Some sites list Motul MotylGear 75W-85 as being a G1 fluid compatible with part # 83222295532. It's my understanding that Gear 300 is superior to MotylGear, so I feel like this Gear 300 should be fine. I'm pretty sure there would only be a negligible difference in fuel economy and it may offer better protection.

Any advice from knowledgeable gear oil folks would be greatly appreciated. Would there be a risk in using the Gear 300?

Sample transmission (not mine). Note the broken teeth!

I don't see why not. Mopar uses that 75W85 stuff. I'm putting Redline 75W90 in wife's 2019 Charger next time at 40K miles. My toy 2023 Challenger SXT will get Redline 75W85 until it gets past 30k miles, then it's getting Redline 75W90.
