I have a 2000 Eldorado with the northstar engine. I was looking to use a larger filter than the small ac pf58. Does any one have info on this substitution. Tx.

Go to the WIX Filter website and punch in your AC PF58 part number then it will tell you the outer diameter, inner diamater, thread size and flow rate etc.
You can then look for something else on their website that is similar in every other way except for length which is what you want to change...
Then once you know what a like filter is for your car you will see the make/model of the cars it fits... You will then be able to look up a filter for these makes and find one that you want that AC Delco, Fram, Wix etc. makes...

careful there have been cases that larger filters on the northstar could be damaged by rocks and road junk..
