I have an older C3 Vette (1981) and want to stay with a the longer filter-can 5.14"
Older filters I used for a long time was a Purolator L30040 (been discontinued)
Then I went to a Purolator L34630 (5.14") no one local is carrying it anymore, I can get it on eBay or Amazon.
Considering the STP S8A which Auto Zone stocks, but is it a decent filter?
BTW ... conventional 20/50 Valvoline VR1 Racing or Castrol Classic 20/50 for older flat tappet vehicles (more zinc)
Also > > > I change oil every year or every two (depending on mileage) usually 500/2000 a year.
Thanks for your feedback

if you can run a FL1a sized filter, go look through the stock of titanium FS8A's at AAP's around you. shine a flashlight down the center tube and check for wire mesh through the holes. if you don't want to do that, i would go get a Fram Endurance FE8A. best efficiency available atm and it has metal backing.
