Someone correctly understanding oil filters wouldn't think that flexible pleats that grow could actually deform the metal end caps and leaf spring. That's one of the wildest theories I've ever read here. Seems some have literally went off the deep end over wavy pleats and therefore come up with all kinds of wild misconceptions - even though filters with wavy pleats have been around for a very long time here and nobody really gave a rip. But suddenly the Ultra has become the filter with "Hulk" media ... just add water.
