I bought another Honda Accord i4 for wife just now . 2011 Honda Accord i4 automatic 120k miles . I was gonna put 5w30 Mobil 1 HM same as my 09 Accord . But I note the oil 2011 oil cap is different then my 09 . It say 0w20 !!

Should I get Mobil 1 hm 0w20 ? Thanks

I'm at Walmart now . I hope some one answer quick lol

We have a very similar '12. I've given it 0W-20 throughout its life except for one run of 5W-20 during summer because I had it and needed to use it.
In Texas, I doubt that it would matter at all, probably not even in Ohio.
Use the grade you have on hand with no concerns.
The K24 originally had 5W-20 as the recommended grade and IIRC, more potent versions of this very mill have 5W-30 recommended for them, so no harm and no foul either way.
I sometimes think that we should pay more attention to the old SAE tem/visc charts than we do to manufacturer's recommendations.
Note that using a 5W-30 in this engine rather than the recommended 0W-20 might cost you as much as .5 mpg, or maybe not even that little bit.

5w30 HM gets my vote.

Don;t forget the trans fluid. 1 Gallon of maxlife is less than $19 at walmart and is more than needed to do a drain/fill on the trans.

The engine is the same between your '09 and the '11. In later years (for the Accords it happened to be 2011), Honda switched to 0W-20 and even back-spec'd that oil going back to 2001 on some models. If you ask Honda what oil to use in your '09, I believe their recommendation today is 0W-20.

Also, your '09 should specify 5W-20, not 5W-30, on the oil fill cap as well as the owner's manual.

The K24 is a great engine. I've used 5W-20, 5W-30 and 10W-30 in mine with no discernible difference. Your 09 should've been specced for 5W-20, not 5W-30. My '07 was specced for 5W-20 from the factory. I'd use either 0W-20 or 5W-20 in your 2011. Use the same in both to make things easier for you (5W-20, perhaps, since you're in a warmer climate).

I end up using 5w30 Mobil 1 HM for both 09 and 2011 for easy top off for both . I hope I made the right choice for 2011

I note the sticker on top of my air box say K&N air filter . First though was change that trash out for paper filter . So I grap a new fram air filter . Turn out the dealer did a full tune up on this 2011 Accord . They put brand new stp air filter and new stp oil filter . Oil was at 95% oil life left . But anyway I change to my own oil it made me feel better . Return the air filter .

Looks like good choices to me.

Of the 2008-2012 Accord generation, especially the I4, this was the most reliable year of that gen according to many sources.

Again...2011 Inline 4 was the most reliable/fewest complaints of that generation('08-'12).

I bought my 2011 Honda Accord based on the web site you provide couple day ago when I ask about my 2009 .
This 2011 just happen to show up at the right time and I jump on the web site you provide and boom I call the dealer and made a deal I can't pass up . I try stay away from v6 version for the Camry and Accord since those are a bit hard to maint
