What happened to this kind of oil change?

Also the "wet sump/dry sump operation would mean
a) that you've got a much longer operating period during an OCI where the engine is running without oil than a traditional OCI
b) that there's going to be a lot more left over oil in the sump each OCI, as the pickup can't typically empty it (not a bad thing really).
 
I like doing it myself.The oil guy at the dealer was guilty twice of not putting oil back in the engine.Kinda expensive for the dealer. I have never heard of a union mechanic.Unless he worked for some east coast city garage.
