Unreadable switch labels at the helm

I have a 2011 Chaparral boat with 12 or so black rocker switches at the helm. The printed label has worn off on almost every one. So hard to tell which one controls what.

Ootions:

Buy decals of some type. I see them on EBAY. A complete set is less than $10.

But replacement switch covers with printed label.. They are about $9 each and that's OK but unsure if I will be able to find a new switch cover with the needed printed label for all 12.

Any ideas how long the eBay cheap ones will last in those conditions? I can guess...

If the boat is a keeper and in good shape, I would go OEM, but I am a bit crazy that way. Another alternative is to find someone with a label maker that uses UV and weather resistant tape and do one or two long strips w/ the text spaced to align with the switches: nav/anchor, vent, horn, etc. and place above or below as space permits. If you switches are illuminated, paint them so the worn areas aren't distracting at night.

Boats are a pain to own....worth it, but painful nonetheless.

^^P-Touch labels came to mind. Dymo labels are dated but still favorites.
Remember to feel out each circuit first.
A strip of white cloth tape and a Sharpie? ....not on my fresh salad.

Less than $12.00
