1L (all I need for an oil change) Valvoline All-Fleet Plus 15W-40 in the SYM
leftover '13 Genuine Buddy 125 - 1500 mile oil change; HiFlo Filtro HF183 filter (yes...a cheaper scooter with an actual oil filter!); oil...a blend of 15w-40 & 10w-40 oils (homebrew synblend) with 150mL of Amsoil OE 15w-40 synthetic to strengthen the overall blend; remainder of the Amsoil added to 3 1/2 quarts of homebrew synblend...1000 mile oci's with filter change every 3,000 miles

Up next, Mobil Delvac 15w-40? I am done with the 5w-40's in this bike. The engine shears them very quickly and shift quality goes out the window way too soon. I also don't ride in cold enough weather to need the 5W cold flow characteristics.

AMC, You will love the Delvac 1300, shifts are like butter. My little 250 shreds oil, I turn Valvoline 10w-40 MC oil to water in 800 miles. This stuff holds on for 2000 miles, I would take it farther but I only hold a little more than a quart. (1300 cc's)

'14 Yamaha V Star 250...recently bought with only 23 miles!
23-191 miles -- factory fill oil & oem filter; 191-540 miles -- 50/50 mix of Traveller 15w-40 hdeo and Shell 10w-40 pcmo & Fram CH6004 filter; 540-986 miles -- Traveller 15w-40 hdeo & Fram CH6004 filter; 986 miles (yesterday) -- 1qt (950mL) Supertech 15w-40 hdeo and 650mL Shell 10w-40 pcmo (1.6L volume w/filter change) & Fram CH6004 filter...
I do short OCI's when I buy new or used rides for the first 1000-1500 miles for break-in (new) or flush (used); next spring I will use straight 15w-40 hdeo & OEM filters for warmer months...haven't decided on what to use for end of season storage oil (might be mix of leftover hdeo & 10w-40 pcmo) & filter (might be another of the Frams I bought on closeout)

This stuff is liquid gold. Outstanding shift quality with no degradation over 4000 miles. Just a bit peeved that the price on Amazon went up to $8/qt from the $5 I originally snagged it at.
