It seems like it was significantly more expensive than the US version and had leather seats and power everything.

european vehicles always have way less standard equipment than what is over here

the second gen US focus just happened to be no effort facelift whereas the european one was a real brand new car. otherwise they were always comparable

Last time I was in rural France,
I saw only one PU. It was a Farm truck. Owner has a farm in (Yonne) Burgundy. Can’t remember the brand, but it was a smaller Ranger or Toyota type PU.
