Need help with Generac 070185E

Wrong threads on one side or the other. Anyone ever mess with the filter nipple on the equipment side?

I can't imagine so. Thing is only a few years old and only gets run to keep the blood cold and open/close the hangar door.

Are the nipple threads boogered up? You may have to get a thread gage. Crazy!

I thought about that. My Briggs had "sharp" threads and had to be very carefully threaded on the first few changes.

Yep, get out the thread pitch gauges and see what's going on.

I didn't!

Company generator. Spun the old filter back on and gave it some Pennzoil Platinum 5W-40.

It'll probably have that oil and filter forever, I left and work for a competitor.

I picked up two Microgard MSL57145 for mine today. I currently have a Purolator One PL14477 on it.
