That is contributing to the ping condition (my guess)..
That was my theory earlier as well. Would be interesting if there is an update to deal with it. I know Chrysler had an update for the 6.4L to deal with pinging under certain driving conditions right after I got the Jeep, so OEM's ARE aware of these issues and do have plans to mitigate them if the desire exists.
