How often do you lube brakes?

Nope. My grandfather bought my Jeep in 2007, I put new brakes on it when I bought it after almost 10 years of his ownership. After 42k miles and 10 years with a lot of dirt roads, the calipers were still lubed up. I greased some more and put new brakes on it.

I had a 2004 VW Beetle TDI with 175k miles with the original front brakes, I sold it in 12/2015 and the brakes were perfect, and the inner and outer pads were wearing evenly with over 2/3 pad left.

When I have the brakes apart for relines. However, I did have them apart on a Prius and I relubed the support ledges and pins with Permatex silicone brake lube and Toyota's rubber grease respectively.
