My cheap HF heat gun went supernova yesterday when the fan raced and flames shot out the back of it. Good thing I was sitting right there when it failed.
I view anything I buy at HF as a throwaway. If its something I will use often I dont buy it there. I got at least 5 yrs out of the heat gun, I am pretty sure I paid less than $15 for it. Minus the fact that it could have burned down my barn, It owed me nothing.

Their new ultra torque are pretty impressive. Made in China but so is most of the others now.
The new Hercules brushless impact driver seems impressive as well. It has a 5 year warranty even if it is a HF warranty. I'm a little suspicious of warranties anyway. Price is nice.
