Gas To Liquid motor oils

Main difference from what I have seen in various PDS sheets is lower pour point and lower NOACK. Pennzoil (Shell) briefly offered on the U.S. market Ultra 5W40 oil with 6.8% NOACK and HTHS of 3.88cp.
Then soon they offered Platinum and kind of "diluted" those numbers.
I saw some BMW TwinPower Turbo oils (made by SOPUS) with respectable NOACK umbers. I think their M 0W40 oil is 8.1%.
XOM is more "iffy" in which oils they use GTL.

I never heard of either refinery in Hawaii employing GTL process, and it really has nothing to do with fluid catalytic cracking which takes heavy oil between diesel range and asphalt range and cracks it into lighter products, but not syngas / CO. That is steam methane reforming or partial oxidation, and the hydrogen produced by this reaction with methane is subsequently used for hydtocracking not fluid catalytic cracking in the operating GTL plants.
