First HDEO oil you used?

Growing up on the farm we used Delo 15w40. Lately, dad uses Mobil Delvac. What was the first HDEO you folks used?
I think it was esso xd3? 0w40 ci4 rating. Now I just stick to m1 0w40 fs in everything as I'm no longer worried about the 47 year old stock camshaft in my Oldsmobile v8.

1980's Canada, used Esso XD-3 15W40 or XD-3 Extra 0W40. Great oil made in Canada that ended up being discontinued and replaced with Mobil stuff from the US in the late 90's early 2000's.

Was around 2007 when I used that 0w40 xd3 in my 84 cutlass. That was the year it got put back together. I put around 105k miles on it since then with the same junkyard 350 rocket.

Ran Mobil1 15w-50 in many VWs in the 90s. Then was introduced to BITOG and ran BROtella T6 5w-40 for years.

We used to use Citgo Citgard 600 back in the 90s in our fleet. Before that was Amaco ultimate 15w40 before their lubes were purchased by Chevron. (We were an Amaco distributor since 1919.)

We switched to Kendall Super D X-A products in the mid 2000’s. Still use them today primarily. One of my divisional fleets switched to Citgo Citgard 700. Judging by our analytics, Kendall Super D X-A and C700 are fantastic oils.

Mystik 15w40 granddad was a diesel mechanic and from Oklahoma so Mystik is a sentimental oil for me ......still use it or Lucas 15w40

D- as in, Don’t you already know my answer?
E- as in, Everybody here must convert to 15w-40
L- as in, Let me pour this oil into another brand’s jug to trick others
O- as in, My expression when I open the throttle :O
