It could be this individual engine has some other issue, like excessive blowby, causing this; and not related to it being GDI.

Wow, I never knew how big the drama is over DI. I was reading up on the new Honda CRV with the 1.5L Turbo DI which some has indicated fuel in the oil. I am a fan of trying new tech to improve economy but also understand it takes time to develop. Hopefully they (all brands) figure it out.

I sure miss tuning on not only my erstwhile Rochester Q-Jets but also Weber 40DCNFs and 48IDAs.

Plenty of mixture strength hardware and consumables in the spares bin if you're still seeking spot-on calibrations with your combinations.
