I'd be surprised if it was THAT much. 40" thick ice is crazy..

Common knowledge says for 1 50ton semi with “load” 40” is MINIMUM ice thickness needed.

I use the cheapest oil on sale as a 'flushing oil' using and off the shelf oil flush with a clean filter. In a Saab 9-5 turbo it lifts a fair bit of extra gunk out of the engine. keeps the Helix ultra looking sharp for much longer.

Dump oil
refill with cheap oil + new filter + oil flush
follow directions
dump
refill with the good oil and a new filter

Any name brand synthetic will do fine for whatever length of time your owner's manual says.
