Some states, such as Kansas, require a non-commercial class A driver license to transport RVs over a certain length. Of course, the state that one is licensed in is the rule on how to operate in all 50 states. But, law enforcement may not always understand that standard, or individual state requirements. The "occasional, recreational transportation of personal property for a non-business purpose" is exempt from Federal CDL rules regardless of weight. However, state laws may apply.
