Any real difference between Fram's synthetic cartridge filters? (Ultra vs Titanium vs Endurance)

Looking to do my friend's GTI oil change (11784 filter model), and just curious if there's any real difference between the 3? I know with the spin-on cans it's a different story

Aren't VW advice givers firmly in the Hummel-Mann/Hengst/OEM camp?
Better to spend your energies finding the correct spec oil.
Seriously, I've just begun looking at VWs and making sure I get the right one-should I go VeeDubb.
