Well Folks, I've been duped...
I knew that once upon a time Fram simply re-boxed the OEM Racor oil filter for the 6.0L Power stroke. I purchased some cheap Fram TG's off ebay & didn't remember that fact. This filter is 10 years old & that was around the time they did that reboxing. Still didn't click until after I removed the filter & then it dawned on me. I wouldn't have gone this far of mileage on an OEM filter had I remembered. Ford says no more than 7500 miles on this filter. Regardless, It still looks like it did an excellent job.

Moving onto the filter. I let it absorb into some shop towels 4 times with new ones over several days. The filter weighed 8.4 OZ by the time I was ready to call it quits. The photo's that show the media layed out is upside down. Meaning the darker side is the bottom of the filter while in the truck. I actually had one black fleck of debris attached to the magnet along with some shiny metal shavings while others had no effect with the magnet.

Coffee filter test left some dark film in the filter & the oil came to a slow trickle.

9,443 Miles w/Rotella 5w-40. If you want to see the UOA results, w/Particle Count, with this filter click here ---> Ford F-350 UOA

Justin, nice photos. Nice write up too. What filter and oil went back in and on? I Thank You brother 🇺🇸🇨🇦

Looks pretty good to my naked eyes. Maybe try a 5yr old filter this time.🤪
I bought a bunch of 6-7 year old Purolator's so it'll be a while.

Thanks! I put in an older 10,000 Mile rated Purolator One & Sinopec T700 15w-40 CK-4 oil.

That's a pretty good particle count. Filter must be pretty efficient.
I'm actually happy about it being an OEM filter that was tested for PC's. It will give me a good benchmark with other filters. I plan on doing another PC in the future on an older 10k rated Purolator One oil filter & an Old 10k Fram TG Champ labs made oil filter.

This is speculation based on some things I've scoured online but I think the OEM filter is rated 99%@25. I was excited to get a PC on this diesel engine b/c most PC's posted here are diesels with an additional filter system put on (Bypass filter) so I couldn't really compare it.
