I'd start a new thread in the Vehicles section.

I had one but didn't keep it long. From what I hear they are very reliable, but I had a 2 door and decided I wanted a 4 door car and sold it. Mine was a 2006. I got 30 mpg on the average, which I thought was pretty good for a commuter. I would get the 4 door Cobalt as rear visibility and headroom is a lot better.

how many miles did you put on it ? was a good car ?

My 2004 ZTS 2.3L 5 spd. sedan has been an absolutely fantastic car. Very quick and very agile with the optional tires. The only work has been a battery, new front handling struts, plugs, and a fuel filter beyond routine fluid changes. Even the brakes are original with good life still in them at 145,000 miles. This despite the early knock against the Focus and it's brakes. For the first gen it seems as though the 2004 was the best year as the bugs were worked out. Then Ford started to tamper with the car. Don't think I'd buy a new one now. Instead opt for a Mazda 3 which was the car that got beat out in 2004.
