Glad you guys like them! I'm leaving sunday to go backpacking in Europe. I'm bringing my camera along - so expect some cool photos when I get back!

i had a flatmate who came home once from an uncle. the uncle's grandfather was a photo correspondent in germany in the late 30's early 40's. he brough original prints home of photos took of the nazi's etc, but especially one image stood by me, adolf inspecting a VW bug plant or some such, and the irony of it all hit me.
I love old photographs like these. I've seen some of those photos posted on another thread in another forum. Wish I still had the link.

That top car position is a little crazy, swinging out like that!
The black New Yorker wearing blue NJ plates... have seen those plates until recently. (Though of course the car could be a few years old in the pic)

It is...the box van in the background is a '71+ GM, and there's a '79-'87 LTD/LTD Crown Vic in the background as well.
There are a lot of great pics in this thread. Being born in 1987, most of my memories are from 1990 onward, so it's always cool to see stuff from a different time.

NICE - I enjoyed all of them. The junkyard one in the first set or two is amazing....all that stuff if long rusted/gone away. Crying shame!
