Valvoline VS Castrol

I have seen plenty of very nice UOA on the Valvoline AC but for some reason they never get any attention. I will agree that the AC's additive package is a little thin in comparisson to some other less expensive brands, but that does not change the fact that their are some nice UOA on Valvoline AC in the 3-5k oci range. I prefer something else due to Ac's price. But I will give Ashland credit, they love to give away their Maxlife, and I love taking it off their hands.

I know alot of people that swear by Valvoline AC. I've only used it a couple of times when I purchaced it at a good price. The only reason that I don't use it today is price. Even on sale at my local auto parts stores Valvoline is still more money than most other good name brand oils.

Given a purchase choice, I use Havoline or Chevron Supreme. Also, Motorcraft.

I just think they're the best bang for the buck.
