Thanks! I didn't stay in my original budget. I was looking and looking and there wasn't anything working in that budget. We went up to 25k and could have done a used SFS, and maybe a used Acura or Lexus, both of which were quite nice. In the end my wife and I looked at each other, decided we wanted a new car as we usually buy used. Sort of a splurge after saving and investing well. We're also moving soon and decided we wanted a nice long warranty to have one less thing to worry about. I also wanted to have the turbo maintained from new rather than a CPO version that despite a warranty would also have miles where I couldn't be sure what OCIs were done.
I was also tempted by luxury SUVs but...I'd already kind of splurged a lot already. Maybe next time. Good and happy right now.
