OCI every 2 years with little use?

Lately, I use my boat very little. 1-2 trips per season (maybe 5-6 hrs total). When I change fluids before winter (engine oil and I/O gear fluid) they come out like new. Sounds like a waste of oil. Is this an excuse to cut the OCI every 2 years after checking for possible water contamination first? No, it's not about money.
BTW, it's a 3.0 Merc I/O and I use 15W40 HDEO and Merc high performance gear oil.

that's fine. altho you owe it to yourself to get out on the boat a little more often!

Thanks! I know I should. My family despise boating though and find excuses not to.
