Its been about over 2600 miles on the current oil life with 3.8 quarts of Valvoline Full Synthetic High Mileage MaxLife 5w-30 + 0.8 quarts of HPL Engine Cleaner 30 + 11oz of BG MOA. The 2012 Yaris which has most of its miles since owned on the highway did had a 20 minute BG EPR flush done prior to this go give the car a head start to transition the vehicle to HPL oils in the next coming oil drain. One observation I do want to point out is how unusually dark the oil came out of the filter during removal. Normally the oil comes out fairly semi-clear amber at 5000 miles so it seems there is some light post cleaning going on with HPL EC and held it in suspension. The vehicle current mileage is at 140,390 at the time of this thread posted.
The filter is the newer generation of Fram Ultra non-wire backed blend media. Not very interesting to look at, everything held up together nicely.
A little fuzz like appearance on the element, and Pleats are fairly tough to flex with fingers comparable to the Toyota D3 filter I pulled out earlier to observe any debris captured. Counted 53+1 pleats including the metal seam in a total of 54.
Louvers are well opened. Dome can snapshot show very little going on.
Its quite a long filter, almost 4 inches tall compared to the 3-1/8" tall YZZD3 filter element.
As you can see, the filter element doesn't appear to be broken in yet just like YZZD3 which was on the vehicle shortly for 680 miles.
Wrapped it in Scotts shop absorbent towels to leave it wicking dry for a few days.
The filter was replaced with a Fram Titanium FS3600 (pink wire backed media) and topped off with remaining jug of Valvoline oil.
