Hey, I have a 2019 RAM 1500 with the 5.7 that calls for the Fram Ultra Part #XG10060, but the Fram website calls it the "short version". Is there a part # for a longer canister filter that still spins on the engine? It seems intuitive that having more oil volume in the engine would be a good thing, as would more media in the filter. Anybody thought of this?

You may well be right, have to crawl under and look. On my 2014 it was a straight shot down, but the 2019 is a lot busier underneath! Thanks

A 10575 is a bit longer but the new ones now have a 22 psi bypass pressure setting. As shown on a Fram Tough Guard with the same numbers:

The bypass valve should never open if you get the XG10575.... and 99.9999% will never open with the TG10575 (and even then for just a split second)

Especially with a 22 PSI bypass valve.

You'd really have to load the filter full of crap for it to get to 22 psi of delta p!

Or a cold start in very cold weather, then rev the engine really high just after start-up before the oil warms up any. Always a good idea to keep the revs down until the oil thins out.
