I had a woman come on to me at a wedding reception right in front of my wife....some of these women just don't care...

That was exactly the circumstances of the last incident. A wedding reception. Was small enough that anyone with eyeballs knew I was not there alone.

Had a friend in the eighties, back in South Dakota. I knew him professionally and my mother also worked with him.

Thought he was getting into a one nighter and hooked up with somebody in a bar. Went back to the hotel room and jealous small town cop husband came barging into the room waiving a gun and wanting money. Turns out this was the repeat of a scam and an earlier attempt had gone wrong and resulted in a murder. It was a stakeout and police film of him in his underwear (all parties got knocked down by police entering room) got forwarded to the local TV stations. I was living six hundred miles away and it was before the Internet and I didn't see it, but my mother said it was not good for his marriage.

Think the TV miniseries of Centennial was out a couple of years before and it had the same rouse. Who says TV isn't a bad influence?

Thanks for this thread grampi!

My ex GF from high school saw my older sister one day and unfortunately my dumb sister gave her my phone #.

She called me a few times to ask nosey personal questions. ...ž

Why the neck do people give out your phone # ?

Yep, if anyone wants the phone number of someone I know, I take their number and tell them I'll pass it along. I give the other person the ability to decide if they too want to make the connection.

I've asked my wife to do the same. Take the number and give it to me. Don't just hand out my number....

I relay this guidance from (bad) experience, it is 100% true and I am STILL paying for my past transgression of this "law":

"Can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned? Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched? So is he who sleeps with another man's wife; no one who touches her will go unpunished."

It's not worth it. Tell your wife about what happened (and what didn't), and call the other lady with your wife present, and explain that you can no longer be friends with her, because you are committed to the woman you married.

Be careful ... she might just really like you, or be lonely, OR ...

Could be a set-up ... GIVE ME MONEY ... or I tell your wife .

Good advice...

Very smart Grampi. At 54 women are too articulated to go into trouble, or too stupid and will get everyone around them into trouble.

If all she wants is sex there's Tinder, and if all she wants is a lifetime companion there's match.com. Picking up a married man usually means she's trouble.

A co-worker of mine was"dating" this girl in high school and she grew up to be a porn actress. She came back to town and got his number and was blowing up his phone. He told me he didn't want to be mean but i said block that
Chick before you become single again. I don't think his wife would appreciate her calling

Anything on FB can and should be considered spam and treated as such.

Oh yes, I've had a VERY attractive younger female co-worker of my spouse do the same thing to me at a work gathering once.
She said it right in the presence of my SO too.
Talk about awkward!

You mean half naked East European or Asian women don't just want to be my friend because of my personality and charm?

Anyway lesson learned for future FB requests.

I have never had fakebook, but they must have some way to block people.I would block em if that is an option on fakebook.

She has arrived just in time to ruin your retirement. Run!

I don't let my little head do the thinking...

No telling what I could have been if I hadn't let "Mr. Johnson" run the show for the first thirty years.

Why? At this point for all I knew she was still just a friend...
