Are the Pep Boys ProLine oil filters the same as the Purolator Premium Plus filters? Do they have less filtering media as in the case of AAP house brand filters?

Thanks

Yes, they are made by Purolator and all the ones I cut open were identical to the Purolator Premium Plus.

Do you want me to post a link with Proline oil filter cut open ?

I'm going to be using one on my next oil change for my Auto-RX rinse. First time ever using a Purolator.

And as said above, they're identical to the Purolator Premium Plus.

I pulled a proline off a car the other day that was rattling internally when shook. I have no clue what it was but it didnt sound good. Could've been a fluke though.

Sure LT4 Vette, Post the link.

So the ProLine brand is better than the AAP brand. I wonder why AAP decided to use less media and save costs while ProLine just re-badged it.
