I've noticed the 10W40 Castrol Syn 4T in my Ninja thins out really quick here in the Florida temps. The engine gets noisier and shifting gets "notchier" once its warmed up and I have less than 1000miles on this oil. Thinking of going with something thicker myself next round, its a bike they have shared sumps, don't risk .000001 mpg for protection. I plan to move to a 15W50 or 20W50 myself.
Water cooled bike and 5w-30 Syn oil?
