Wanted to get everyone's opinion on this as I'm currently repowering my newly acquired bobcat.
My friend from work claims he put a couple predator single jugs in his mini bobcat but they" burn up " quick.
I'm putting a duromax 713 in my 76 mustang 440. I wanted the motor to have more oil capacity or at least a large cooler as anything air cooled will run warm when being used in 80 to 100 degree weather like my town.
I'm going to try and modify a remote oil filter kit on my motor and use the 51515 " old Ford filter " that uses a quart of oil.
I'm hoping between using 15w40, 50% more oil, and an oil cooler. I can get a lot of life from this motor, dare I say lifetime from a " here and there " user
My friend claims he got 10 hours from the last motor before it " burnt up "
For all I know, he may have used 5w30 oil and have the motor in a solid compartment
