Anyone here do any UOA and oil particle count tests before and after using a good bypass filter setup to see the deltas? I don't hang out in this forum much, so if there was a thread about this already I didn't find one with a search.
Thanks Linctex, I'll search some more too. I'm surprised there aren't a few "before and after adding a bypass filter" UOA & ISO particle count reports posted.
I threw this together from random scraps & pieces
in my friend’s machine shop one afternoon,
it’s not able to filter down to one micron,
But I don’t have maybe $10 in the entire set up so far…

Not really, but would like to see some good ISO particle count data of a "before and after" the use of a good bypass filter setup on the same engine under the same driving conditions and mileage.
That bypass filter setup you made looks good, what's it going on?

Wow, nice! I am going to have to remember that. That looks fairly easy to make. Now if a person sources cheap bypass filters they are set!

Yeah, I have a LOT of them to play with.
They are N-S-N-S-N-S-N-S-N-S except that gap has two opposite poles, so one won't stay flat... which is fine, it's the furthest from where the oil comes in.
